Salisbury Blogger : Short Articles

I’m a Salisbury blogger and enjoy writing short articles about his Cathedral city in my spare time. I decided that I wanted to create a new blog to keep my mind occupied in retirement so came up with Over 60 Blog. It’s not exactly an original name for a website but it works for me.

I’ve lived here for almost 15 years and I can honestly say that I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It’s a popular tourist attraction, as you might expect, with coach parties of people often walking around the City.

As you can imagine, the Cathedral is the focal point for a lot of visitors. I’m sure that they enjoy seeing such a beautiful, medieval building. I wonder how many photographs have been taken over the years?

We are only 8 miles away from Stonehenge so the City makes an idea base for visiting the local attractions.

Other attractions include Wilton House, home to The Earl and Countess of Pembroke. Mompesson House in the Cathedral Close. Arundells which was the home of Edward Heath, a former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. There also some interesting museums to visit.

Over the past number of years, quite a few retirement properties have been built in the City centre and the surrounding area. I’m not suggesting that it will every be as popular as some coastal areas such as Bournemouth but some of the properties do seem to be occupied. I’ve written a post called retirement properties for sale in Salisbury that you might be interested in.

Once I’d been bitten by the blogging bug, I found it difficult to stop writing. I’ve put quite a few short articles together and have published a fair few.

Let’s face it, I’m not much of a writer but I enjoy it. Maybe I’ll improve over time, who knows.

Read This – I’m not a marketing professional, I’m just a humble blogger who writes for the fun of it. I’m not looking to connect with anyone for any form of collaboration. I struggle to write articles for myself and am certainly not good enough to write for anyone else. Please say ‘Hi’ though..

Instagram – I’ve just started an Instagram account to go with this page. I must admit that I’m not quite sure how it all works other than being a site to publish photos. I will learn along the way. You can find my page at https://www.instagram.com/salisburyblogger/
